About This Role
We’re a local flooring and remodeling company looking for a dependable, knowledgeable person to help make sure our jobs are completed correctly and our customers are taken care of.
This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who understands flooring/cabinet installation, general construction, communicates well with customers and installers, and takes pride in the finished result. You’ll visit job sites, oversee small service and repair work, answer questions, and follow through on the details that make a job successful.
What You'll Do
- Check on active installations to verify workmanship, progress, job-site cleanliness, and protection of the customer’s home.
- Walk jobs with customers, review concerns, and clearly communicate next steps.
- Coordinate small service jobs, repairs, and punch-list work with installers and the office.
- Perform minor installation and service work, such as trim installation, small repairs, touch up and punch list, leveling/prep, etc.
- Must be handy, comfortable using basic tools, and have an attention to detail.
- Respond to customer job-site questions and help resolve service issues professionally.
- Identify installation concerns early and work with the team to get them corrected.
- Create, track, and verify completion of punch lists.
- Document job progress and concerns with photos and clear notes.
- Confirm completed work meets company standards and the customer’s agreed scope.
- Help with measurements, material needs, deliveries, and other tasks that keep jobs moving.
- Follow through until outstanding items are resolved and the job is ready for final customer review.
Requirements
- Practical knowledge of flooring/cabinet installations and the ability to recognize quality workmanship and common installation issues.
- Strong customer service skills and a calm, professional approach to resolving concerns.
- Good organization, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and changing priorities.
- Confidence communicating with customers, installers, salespeople, and office staff.
- Comfort using a smartphone for photos, messages, and job documentation.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between local job sites.
- Willingness to handle a variety of tasks and help wherever needed.
- Continue to learn about installation methods and flooring products.
- Ability to lift and carry tools and materials, weighing up to 50 lbs
Nice to Have
- Previous experience as a flooring installer, installation supervisor, project manager, or service technician.
- Experience with LVP, hardwood, laminate, carpet, tile, and cabinets.
- Familiarity with cabinets, kitchen and bath remodeling, or general construction.
- Experience with RFMS or other job-management software; we can train the right person
- Some Spanish-speaking ability is a plus
