About This Role
The Granite & Quartz Countertop Fabricator is responsible for accurately fabricating natural stone and engineered stone countertops according to company specifications, shop drawings, and customer requirements. This position requires precision, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the safe operation of fabrication equipment. The Fabricator works closely with the Installation Manager, stone shop helpers, sales team, and customers to ensure each project meets company quality standards and customer expectations.
What You'll Do
Duties of the fabricator are-
- Review the production schedule daily
- Verify materials and work orders
- Inspect slabs before fabrication
- Fabricate scheduled projects
- Perform quality inspections throughout production
- Clean work area and equipment daily
- Communicate production status with management
- Inventory fabrication supplies
- Assist with shop organization
- Participate in production meetings
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks
- Dispose of scrap materials properly
- Follow all safety procedures
- Assist with shop improvements as needed
Requirements
3 years of fabrication experience with granite, quartz, marble, quartzite, porcelain, and sink and faucet cutouts, polishing, seaming, and installation.
Other requirements-
- Valid driver's license
- Strong aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
- Ability to lift 100 lbs with proper equipment
- Stand, bend, kneel, and work on concrete floors for extended periods
- Safely operate fabrication machinery and lifting equipment
- Knowledge and training in polishing, top/undermount sink cuts
