As a Sales Associate, you'll play a crucial role in guiding customers through their home improvement journey, from initial inquiry to installation. You'll need to be a product knowledge expert, a skilled communicator, and a sales professional who can build strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
Our ideal candidate is a customer enthusiast who excels at building trust and rapport with prospective clients. You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced showroom environment and promoting our store through your professional and personal networks. What You'll Do
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every interaction is personalized and memorable
- Sell a wide range of flooring, window coverings, and floor care products to meet customers' diverse needs
- Handle sales from start to finish, ensuring seamless transitions and timely installations
- Offer expert decorating and design advice to help customers achieve their vision
- Prospect for new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue
- Manage your time effectively in the showroom, in customers' homes, and while prospecting for new clients
- Stay up-to-date on our extensive product offerings, benefits, and warranties
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your product knowledge and sales skills
- Maintain a clean and organized showroom, ensuring a positive customer experience
Requirements
Requirements for the Sales Consultant
- Flexible work hours to include weekends
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation for In-Home visits
- Proficient with RFMS flooring software
- Personally well-organized
- Self-starter
- Passion and/or experience decorating or designing
- Retail sales experience a plus
- College degree a plus, but not required
Nice to Have
Proficiency in RFMS sales software, experience in flooring sales, and knowledge of decorating or designing would be a valuable asset in this role.
